Description

Neoholothele incei, from the island of Trinidad, quickly became one of the most popular and accessible dwarf tarantulas in the hobby. A flash of interest in N. incei‘s history was the discovery of the autosomal recessive gold mutation. Pattern and copper-olive disappeared, replaced with a solid gold-orange and producing Neoholothele incei gold, the variant listed above. Hardy, beautiful and affordable, the Trinidad gold reigns among New World dwarfs.

N. incei gold is an obligate burrower. It tends to web at the substrate-wall interface, sometimes along nearly all lower surfaces of its enclosure. Scores have tried to keep N. incei and N. incei gold communally with varied success.
