Description
Similar in many ways to its slightly more well-known cousin, Heteroscodra maculata, Stromatopelma calceatum is an African arboreal with quick movements and a defensive temperament. Larger specimens have black speckling and a distinct greenish cast. If you like H. maculata and tarantulas with capacity to bolt, you’ll appreciate S. calceatum. No hands & fingers near this species please, recommended for intermediate to advanced keepers.
