Description
Brachypelma albiceps is from central Mexico. The red-haired rump and black legs are reminiscent of Tliltocatl. However, the yellow carapace is distinctive among all its cousins. It gives B. albiceps immediate recognizability.
Like its Brachypelma relatives, B. albiceps comes from dry savannah. In captivity adults do well with slightly dry substrate, a water dish and moderate ventilation. Spiderlings however do better with humidity in the 70-80% range. B. albiceps will take advantage of a hide if provided.
