Description
Listed for sale is a Citharacanthus cyaneus female tarantula. Do you know Citharacanthus cyaneus, the purple Zoro? C. cyaneus is small Cuban terrestrial remarkable for purple legs, orange body and a triangular purple mask. Females grow to about 4 inches. They’re opportunistic burrowers so you may see yours outside or in her hide.
C. cyaneus is relatively docile for a dwarf, but they can bolt. Juveniles and older do well on slightly dry substrate, limiting ventilation only enough to allow a bit of humidity to accumulate. Room temperature (68-72F) is fine, with faster growth at temperatures up to 80F. A water dish may help avert accidental dehydration. At best it will allow your pet to optimize her hydration state. Weekly feedings and regular molts will bring her to adult size (4 inches) in a year or two.
